About the show:
Romeo and Juliet is such a well-known tale, that we decided to instead look at the other characters a bit more and see what happens when you subvert the expected relationships and take them that one step further. To add to the experimentation, the cast have all pitched in with direction and ideas, making this one hundred percent, a collaborative project. So what happens if Benvolio becomes female and you put her in a relationship with Mercutio? What happens if Paris doesn’t actually want to marry Juliet at all and would rather be with someone else? What happens if you make Mercutio and Paris twins? Well, you’ll have to see the show to find out! Bits and Bobs Theatre Company is delighted to present William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet at The Willows Theatre at Stratford College. Performing Wednesday 2nd May to Saturday 5th May at 7.30pm nightly, with a 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday. Tickets are £10 / £8 concessions and are available at www.ticketsource.co.uk/bits-and-bobs |
